[Awww, how sweet of Viktor. He'll be sure to show Viktor why he's called the Bandit King someday, but for now incognito really is for the best. He's walking to a mirror to look over himself and try to decide what layers to give up.]
I should keep the outer coat, and definitely the layer with all the knives 'n lockpicking tools. Maybe the warmth layer isn't needed? How cold does it get there?
[Shimmer, is it? Hmm... the description sounds interesting. It kind of makes him want to find someone on shimmer just so he can test his strength. That curiosity is definitely reflected in his eyes, if Viktor looks. Brad might make some Choices down there.]
How likely is it that we'll come across someone like that?
[Dried off and sat on his bed once more, Viktor has attached a truly... impressively engineered back brace onto himself as he speaks. He tightens down a shoulder strap, which should make sense of a certain darkened line of skin across that side. Should Viktor be wearing this thing at all times, these days? Maybe, but he doesn't always do the most advisable thing for himself.
He covers it with an undershirt and then his button up over top soon after. Pants next, then his leg brace...]
Not too cold, no. It would be likely if you are drawing attention to yourself.
[he gives Brad such a warning look, again not because the man would be endangering himself, but because Viktor would be peeved with him starting fights,]
[He sounds disappointed. He would love to have a good fight, even with the handicap of no magic.
He slips off the cloak and rids himself of the thermal layer, plus the vest. Neither of those have tools or weapons on them, so they can stay behind. The cloak goes back on though, and he draws the hood up over his head to demonstrate how well it hides his identity.]
[Simply put. Viktor isn't one to mince words or give shallow flattery. Brad will look well off in that quality of garb, but not so exaggerated, like a lost King. If he catches any trouble, it wouldn't be any more than Viktor might get, looking like a Piltie, these days. At least he has the local accent and dialect to support him, those of the Undercity do not often mess with their own people.
Or, that's how it used to be, before Shimmer.
Viktor finishes dressing and locks his leg brace into place. His hair is messy, wet and clinging to him, but it will dry as they walk. He doesn't really care for his appearance all that much. As long as it's out of his face, it's fine.]
[Brad knows a spell to get hair to dry fast, but he holds off on offering it. Viktor seems ready to go, and Brad won't delay him further. Besides, his hair is short enough to dry on a walk, and Brad has a comb stuck away in one of his pockets if it's needed.
It's a long walk though, even just to the entrance of Zaun, and Brad is already wishing they could have just flown. He's not tired or anything, but he's also used to how much time is saved by flying. In his mind, he's saying 'we could have already been there'.
He won't say it out loud though. Not to Viktor, and not where prying eyes and ears might notice the conversation.
He will whisper a question to VIktor though:]
We're not gonna need papers or anything to go there, right?
