NAME: Bradley Bain
AGE: 600-ish (looks to be mid-20s)
CANON: Promise of Wizard
CANON POINT: After main story 2
CRAU: N/A
OTHER: Just so it makes sense going through the app: the Sage is a human summoned from another world to lead the Sage's Wizards, who are a team of 21 wizards (4 spots for each of the 5 countries, with the Northern country having 5 because one of their spots is held by a pair of twins) who are tasked with protecting the world from the Great Calamity and any other threats that might show up. Bradley has been a Sage's Wizard for about 90 years at this point.

SUITABILITY: He is over 600 years old and has participated in adult activities quite a bit in that time. He'll be fine here, he's going to have the time of his life.

ABILITIES: Bradley's main ability is that he's a wizard and has all the magic that entails with it. He can cast spells and do quite a bit with his magic, with only a few limitations: it's very bright and flashy when he casts magic so it's obvious what he's doing, he has to say his activation spell to cast magic at all (meaning if he's unable to speak or someone interrupts him before he says the full phrase, the magic is not cast), and using magic drains stamina so he can only do so much a day.

This is a list of the magic that we have seen used in canon:

- Attack magic (Tearing, rending, inflicting harm, elemental spells)
- Creating sugar (The sugar wizards make has health benefits; it’s known to reduce both physical and mental fatigue.)
- Transformation and replication magic, on themselves or on inanimate things (Bradley uses this to replicate his bullets so he never runs out of them, and also to transform his rifle into a pistol and back. He's also used it on himself to become a woman a few times, for Reasons (which we don't get to see on-screen because the game-makers are COWARDS))
- "charisma magic" AKA casting magic as you walk in to make everyone pay attention to you.
- Spells that bring about blessings and peace
- Meticulous magic that requires great focus (Curses, temporarily changing somebody's luck, dull and sharpen senses)
- Summoning items
- teleporting items to him from other locations (usually his rifle + bullets or his broom)
- levitating items (mostly his broom)
- Healing wounds from minor to severe, bringing people back from the brink of death (healing minor wounds is more common, severe and near-fatal require a specific kind of magic which Bradley is hesitant to use)
- Sealing monsters, erecting barriers to keep other wizards in or out (this generally needs more than one wizard)
- Self temperature regulation
- detecting other wizards/magic-users
- seeing through illusions
- possessing people and making them follow orders (he usually does that to pass on messages to others)
- Bradley's magic specialty is buffing magic: making people stronger, faster, more accurate with their attacks, etc.
- Bradley uses his buffing magic to auto-aim with his rifle and never miss a shot

In addition to this, wizards can recover and strengthen themselves by entering their mana area, where they can recharge and meditate to regain any lost strength. Sleep recovers mana too, but it's slower and doesn't have the strengthening properties of a mana area. They can also use something from their mana area as an amulet, which they use to enter into a meditative trance and recover. Bradley uses a glittery blue gemstone from a specific cave for his amulet, with that cave being his mana area.

Also of note, a wizard's word holds power. The game is called 'Promise of Wizard' because it's all about the promises wizards make. Promises are extraordinarily powerful: wizards are bound by them and have to fulfil their promises. If they ever break a promise, they lose all of their magic. (For example, Bradley is a prisoner in canon and part of that was being forced to promise to serve his full sentence. If he ever tries to run away on purpose, he loses his powers. Being kidnapped, sneezing away on accident, or being kidnapped to a game would not be breaking that promise though, since he didn't choose to run away.)

Finally, Bradley has a curse on him that makes him teleport whenever he sneezes. For this game the sneeze-teleport could be "teleport only within the game setting itself." (This curse was cast on him after the most recent Great Calamity, where half of the old wizard team died and the rest got cursed. Only the 10 new wizards who got summoned after that Calamity are curse-free.)

His magic phrase is Adnopotensum, which means "to be powerful".

VICES:

Greed: holy fuck he is greedy. He spent 500 years as the leader of a bandit gang, stealing from rich people and enjoying all the money, gold, and jewels they got. He is easily motivated by the offer of treasure too. His greed is what led him to be arrested in the first place: he had gained a reputation as a fearsome bandit king and he got led into a trap by thinking he was about to hit a castle full of treasure. And even in current day, several of the side-stories have him getting involved in some nonsense because he thinks there's something in it for him. (He is also very greedy about Nero's cooking and will eat up all the fried chicken Nero makes.)

Egotistical: Almost as bad as his greed is his ego. It's a stereotype that the Northern wizards have big egos and little brains, and he fits that stereotype to a T. He's usually friendly, but it's very easy to push his buttons by challenging his strength or saying anything negative about him. His big ego helped him be a strong leader as it gave him the confidence to step up and lead, but it is a vice as well because he has absolutely no humility whatsoever. He'll say he's great and act like he's hot shit, and lash out when people disagree. He's also one who holds onto his grudges for a long, long time. Even if he acts friendly, transgressions against him will not be forgotten. The exception to this is children, or anyone he views as a kid or 'not an adult yet'. They can be sassy to him and he will laugh it off, because his big ego tells him that they just don't understand how strong he is yet and that they'll learn.

Stupid: Basically, the Northern wizards have 2 braincells collectively. Bradley might be the one holding both of them most of the time, but my god this man is dumb. He tries to make what he thinks are good decisions, and they're decisions he puts a lot of thought into! But his two braincells are spinning and come up with some of the most ridiculous ideas. For example: he and two other Northern wizards (Owen and Mithra, who with Bradley are collectively known as "Sanbaka" because they're three idiots) did not want to get up early to do work with the Sage. Mithra and Owen wanted to kill Oz, since Oz is the only wizard stronger than them and they thought if they killed him they couldn't be bullied into getting up early for work. Did Bradley stop this plan? Hell no he didn't! Instead he convinced the other two to freeze Oz in a block of ice because they still needed Oz's strength to fight Great Calamity that appears every year. And he thought nobody would notice this and that they would get away with this plan. The plan of course did not work at all but it shows that, despite being the smartest of three idiots, he is still an idiot.

VIRTUES:

Courage: Basically, he knows how strong he is (he's currently like 6th strongest in the entire world) and he'll use that strength whenever it's needed. When there's trouble, he jumps right in and starts blasting. He does feel fear, and quite often actually, but that fear does not hold him back when he needs to act. He also doesn't give up when he's not doing well either. For example, one time he was trying to save the two new kid wizards from a minotaur, and he accidentally sneezed himself away. But he immediately acted, throwing pepper in his face and making him sneeze over and over until he got close to where he needed to be to save them. Then he just ran the rest of the way to where they were. Where others stay quiet, he's the first to speak out, saying what needs to be said in that moment. Bradley is unbelievably brave, both in action and in words.

Leadership: "Wizards cannot live in a community." This is considered to be a universal truth in the world Bradley is from. Wizards have big egos and big tempers, and any cooperation is short-lived. The sole exception to this is Bradley and his gang. Bradley seems to have unlocked the code to getting wizards to cooperate, which before him was a skill only the Sage had. It's the one area he's really smart in: he understands people, and he knows both how to encourage someone to grow and how to get the best use out of them. Even now, without a gang and while stuck to the Sage's side (lest he violate his temporary work release and go back to prison), he's still helping the younger wizards grow and be strong. He's also one of the few Sage's Wizards that keeps a relatively positive relationship with everyone else. His ego does get in the way sometimes when he's butting heads with strong wizards, but when his temper isn't triggered he can be quite agreeable. He's good at seeing the larger picture and not getting stuck on individual incidents. I know this clashes with how egotistical he is, but the best way to describe it is "when he's a leader and clearly above others, he's a damn good leader."

Fatherly: While he's not literally a father, he's very good with kids. He can be brash and crude with adults, but he always holds back a bit and acts kinder when he's helping kids in any way. Be they 12 or be they 17, Bradley will patiently guide them to learn more and make better choices. In canon he teaches a lot of the younger wizards (the ones who are under-18, plus one who is 18) more about magic and how to use their magic to full effectiveness. He rarely loses his patience when doing this either, he has a LOT more tolerance when it comes to the mistakes kids make. He also supports them emotionally, giving them reassurance and helping them through their problems. Someday he might actually become a father and be awesome at it, but right now he's being an awesome father-figure to those who need someone to look up to.

SURVEY

As a note, I am answering this OOCly because he would not give truthful answers ICly.

▶ I REGULARLY MAKE NEW FRIENDS.
▷ Agree! He's not a complete social butterfly, and his egotistical behavior can cause friction sometimes, but he does make new friends pretty easily. As I said in his virtues section, "wizards cannot live in a community" is a generally accepted truth in his world. Bradley is the one exception to this, as he managed to unite many wizards under his leadership for 500 years. His relatively laid-back personality helps a lot here, because he doesn't come off as an immediate threat.

▶ SEEING OTHER PEOPLE CRY MAKES ME WANT TO CRY TOO.
▷ Disagree. Bradley Bain (almost) never cries. Seeing other people cry can stir emotions in him- sadness and empathy if it's someone he likes, glee if it's someone he hates- but it doesn't bring him to tears.

▶ I OFTEN MAKE A BACKUP PLAN FOR A BACKUP PLAN.
▷ Strongly disagree. Bradley is the kind of leader who makes up one primary plan, and then MAYBE one backup plan. But that's it. If things go to shit, he makes up stuff on the fly to try to turn things to his favor. Fortunately, he's very good at making up stuff immediately, so things usually go well even if they don't go to plan.

▶ I USUALLY STAY CALM, EVEN WHEN UNDER A LOT OF PRESSURE.
▷ Neutral, but for reasons you might not expect. When there's no danger and Bradley is just shooting the shit with other wizards, he is very emotional and expressive. He absolutely cannot stay calm if anyone insults him in any way. Frequently in canon he will curse someone out (his favorite curse is "bastard") if they offend him. But when the situation is dire and there's a lot of pressure to succeed? That's when Bradley can keep his cool and get things done. It's like a switch flips inside of him, giving him focus and control over himself.

▶ I AM VERY SENTIMENTAL.
▷ Agree. He tries to cover it up and act like everything is normal, but he is extremely sentimental. He still thinks fondly of his human mother and siblings, who all passed away over 500 years ago. He can be sentimental with specific people though, namely those he trusts implicitly. Like Nero, who is one of the very few people who actually sees Bradley's sensitive side (and that's only because he's known Bradley for so long that he can recognize Bradley's farce when it comes to this).

▶ EVEN A SMALL MISTAKE CAN CAUSE ME TO DOUBT MY OVERALL ABILITIES AND KNOWLEDGE.
▷ WELL. Disagree, because Bradley rarely admits to even making mistakes in the first place. Even his Biggest Mistake (getting arrested + all of the men and women with him at that time getting killed) isn't necessarily something he blames himself for, since he blames those who arrested him instead. He knows who he is and is confident in who he is, it's everyone else's fault when things go to shit.

▶ I AM MORE INCLINED TO FOLLOW MY HEAD THAN MY HEART.
▷ Strongly disagree. Bradley follows his heart and trusts his instincts above all else. It helps that his instincts are often right though.

▶ I AM PRONE TO WORRYING THAT THINGS WILL TAKE A TURN FOR THE WORSE.
▷ Strongly disagree. Bradley doesn't really think about future troubles enough to worry about them. In the heat of the moment when a fight is happening and his ally just got hit with a strong attack, he might worry. But he doesn't worry unless a problem he can't immediately solve is right in front of him.

▶ I ENJOY WATCHING PEOPLE ARGUE.
▷ Neutral. This once again comes back to people he likes and people he doesn't like. He hates seeing his friends argue and will try to mediate and help them find resolution. But if enemies or people he hates are arguing? He's getting the popcorn.

▶ I TEND TO AVOID DRAWING ATTENTION TO MYSELF.
▷ Disagree. Whenever Bradley walks into a room, his presence is immediately noticeable. In fact, his introduction in-game is him immediately taking control of a conversation by walking in a room and speaking up so everyone looks at him. Hell, he has spells that force people to pay attention to him.

▶ I OFTEN DO THINGS AT THE LAST POSSIBLE MOMENT.
▷ Strongly agree. He is of the mind that if it's not a big problem right now, he shouldn't worry too much about it. All work can be done later if he has better things to do at the moment.

▶ I FIND IT EASY TO EMPATHIZE WITH A PERSON WHOSE EXPERIENCES ARE VERY DIFFERENT FROM MINE.
▷ Agree. This is how he was able to bring together a group of wizards when previously wizards struggled to work and live together. Even if everyone lives different experiences, Bradley tries to look for commonalities so they can relate to each other.

▶ I BECOME BORED OR LOSE INTEREST WHEN THE DISCUSSION GETS HIGHLY THEORETICAL.
▷ Strongly agree. My god this man is dumb. A theoretical discussion would go right over his head, and when he gets bored he starts causing trouble. It's best not to involve him in these things, call for Nero instead.

▶ I RARELY FEEL INSECURE.
▷ Disagree. His ego is fragile and he can be pushed in his insecurities easily, which will make him lash out in anger as if that proves he's not insecure. He feels insecure about not being the strongest wizard in the world, he feels insecure about being a prisoner (albeit one on parole), he feels REALLY insecure about being the one who was made an example of when other wizards were far worse than him. For the more shallow insecurities he will yell at anyone who pokes them, but for the deeper ones (anything involving his arrest or imprisonment) he buries those deep and tries to act like it's no big deal.

▶ I AM STILL BOTHERED BY MISTAKES I MADE A LONG TIME AGO.
▷ Well. It's only one mistake from long ago that constantly bothers him, but I guess that technically counts. So agree, but only very slightly.

SUIT REQUESTS: Hearts is my main request, it would be fun for him as he's already pretty emotional and seeing those go into overdrive would be great. If not hearts, then diamonds, because playing with the physical changes that come with the suit would be pretty great too.
RANK REQUESTS: A high rank is what the Bandit King of the North deserves.
SAMPLES: His TDM top-level (It shows how he gets along with people relatively easily and how he'll take charge when the situation calls for it.)
Him with his not!son in another game (context: it was a murdergame and Bradley had been voted out just before this thread, so they both knew execution was coming the next morning. It shows how much he cares about kids, especially HIS kids, because he was focused on helping Kazuki rather than wallowing in his own negative feelings.)
Bradley harassing Nero (same murdergame, it's an event where they had to play paintball, and Bradley interrupted the paintball game for this shit. It shows his greed and stupidity because he kept Hounding Nero for a proposal despite the situation.)

If you need more samples I have plenty, the murdergame I was playing him in just ended recently.
