He looked pretty happy to be on this planet, though. I found him trying to take a nap in the snow.

Not on this level, but Niigata gets a good amount of snow. Some parts of the prefecture have ski resorts and stuff, too.

It is. But it's the right shade of blue.

You don't see that a lot in sapphires.
